Visual Amenity Impact Assessment

Visual impact assessments of existing amenities are conducted in examining proposed developments. They arise from requirements for further information or conditions of planning applications. Such amenities comprise cultural, heritage or archaeological landscapes and may have appropriate existing protection.

Gregory Archaeology undertakes visual impact assessments by examining how proposed developments may effect the character of existing views and environments.

We provide Photomontages in relation an existing monument’s environment. We provide before and after comparative impact studies of a proposed development’s outcomes. Site assessment results are graded as none, minimal, moderate, high or very high visual impact. The grade is supported by reason(s) for it. Recommendations for further mitigations where relevant are also provided.
