Gregory Archaeology provides archaeological and built heritage support to farms, rural enterprises and stud farms.
Proposals for farm yard upgrades frequently reveal that the yards were built beside existing archaeological remains or on sites of former heritage, such as tower houses. Developing land for agricultural purposes, may impinge on existing sites such as ringforts or enclosures.
Gregory Archaeology has extensive experience in assisting farmers and land owners in dealing with the requirements of managing heritage arising from REPS (Rural Environment Protection) and GLAS (Green, Low-Carbon, Agri-Environment) schemes. We also assist in the preparation of applications for these and other schemes, such as Structures at Risk.
